Le Bénin condamne fermement une attaque terroriste au Nigeria
Le gouvernement béninois a condamné jeudi avec la plus grande fermeté l’attentat terroriste perpétré mardi dans l’État nigérian de Kwara.
Ayant appris que cette attaque avait fait de nombreuses victimes, le Bénin a exprimé sa profonde compassion et présenté ses condoléances les plus sincères aux familles endeuillées, ainsi qu’au peuple et aux autorités nigérianes, selon un communiqué publié jeudi par le ministère béninois des Affaires étrangères.
Réaffirmant sa pleine solidarité fraternelle, le gouvernement béninois a renouvelé son engagement à œuvrer aux côtés du Nigeria dans la lutte contre le terrorisme et l’extrémisme violent, en vue de défendre la paix, la sécurité et la stabilité dans la région, a poursuivi le communiqué.
D’après des sources locales, plus de 100 personnes ont été tuées lorsque des inconnus armés ont attaqué mardi soir deux villages dans l’État de Kwara.
