13 morts dans une attaque attribuée à Boko Haram à Madegoua

Le village Madegoua, situé à environ 9 km de Makary, dans le département du Logone-et-Chari, a été pris pour cible dans la nuit du mercredi au jeudi 17 septembre 2026.

Des assaillants présentés comme des éléments de Boko Haram ont fait irruption dans cette localité aux environs de 2 heures du matin. Le bilan provisoire fait état de 13 personnes tuées sur place et de deux autres décédées des suites de leurs blessures à l’hôpital de district de Makary. Plusieurs personnes ont également été enlevées, tandis que des blessés ont été évacués vers des structures sanitaires.

Joint au téléphone par notre rédaction pour faire le point sur la situation, le maire de la commune de Makary, M. Abakar Abba, a déclaré : « Nous sommes sous le choc. Les autorités administratives, militaires et politiques sont immédiatement descendues sur les lieux. C’est la toute première fois que ce village subit une telle attaque. Le bilan est très lourd avec plusieurs décès, de nombreux blessés et des villageois enlevés. La population est plongée dans la peur et la désolation, mais les forces de défense et de sécurité sont déployées pour sécuriser la zone et retrouver les personnes disparues. »

Cette nouvelle incursion intervient dans un contexte déjà difficile pour les populations du Logone-et-Chari. La faiblesse des précipitations et ses conséquences sur les activités agro-pastorales viennent accentuer les difficultés quotidiennes des communautés. À cette situation s’ajoute désormais la crainte liée à la recrudescence des violences, plongeant de nombreuses familles dans l’inquiétude et l’incertitude.

4 membres d’une même famille ensevelis dans un glissement de terrain à Nkomo

Un éboulement de terrain a causé la mort d’au moins quatre personnes mercredi 16 septembre, au quartier Nkomo, dans l’arrondissement de Yaoundé IV.

Quatre membres d’une même famille ont tragiquement péri dans un glissement de terrain survenu le mercredi 16 septembre, aux environs de 17 heures, au sein du quartier Maetur Nkomo, situé dans le quatrième arrondissement de Yaoundé. La catastrophe, localisée à l’arrière du lycée technique d’Ekounou, a intégralement enseveli une habitation.

Parmi les défunts figurent une mère de famille, ses deux enfants respectifs âgés de 8 et 11 ans, ainsi que sa belle-sœur. Au terme des opérations de secours et de l’extraction des corps des décombres, trois dépouilles ont été transférées à la morgue de l’hôpital Jamot de Yaoundé, tandis que la quatrième a été acheminée vers le Centre des technologies des forces armées (CFTA) d’Ekounou.

Les causes exactes ainsi que les circonstances précises de ce drame restent, à ce jour, à élucider.
