(V-Day) Xi reviews troops to mark 80th anniversary of victory over Japanese aggression
BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping reviewed troops in Beijing on Wednesday during a military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Standing in a Hongqi limousine, Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, gave the command for the review to begin.
As the review vehicle moved slowly eastward, passing the fluttering flags of the Party, the nation and the army that stood before the assembled troops, Xi saluted the flags with a fixed gaze.
Amid resounding military music, Xi inspected foot, banner and armament formations along Chang’an Avenue.
As the review vehicle made its way back toward Tian’anmen, the servicemen and women chanted with one voice: « Follow the Party! Fight to win! Forge exemplary conduct! » « Justice will prevail! Peace will prevail! The people will prevail! » ■

Le Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun (MRC) sa participation à toutes les élections à venir. Le parti de l’opposition sera présent aux élections législatives et municipales de l’année prochaine.
Absent du processus électoral depuis le fameux boycott des élections de 2020, le Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun (MRC) annonce sa participation aux prochaines élections. En conférence de presse ce jeudi 25 juin à Yaoundé, le parti a rassuré sa base militante et l’opinion sur les préparatifs de ces scrutins très attendus.
« Nous nous sommes préparés légalement, nous nous sommes préparés moralement et je voudrais dire ici que nous allons nous présenter à toutes les élections… Rien n’empêchera au MRC de se présenter à toute élection législative et municipale », a déclaré Mamadou Mota, Premier vice-président du parti selon les propos rapportés par Afrik-Inform.
Cette nouvelle posture du MRC tranche avec le boycott qui lui avait valu des critiques acerbes au sein de la classe politique et qui a provoqué le départ de certains de ses cadres.
Par ailleurs, la conférence de presse du MRC intervient après le rejet de son recours contre la prorogation du mandat des conseillers municipaux. Prorogé par décret présidentiel du 4 mai 2026, le mandat des conseillers municipaux court désormais jusqu’en février 2027. Une décision illégale selon le MRC. Mais le Conseil constitutionnel s’est déclaré incompétent pour juger un décret présidentiel.

Le nouveau président de la Commission de clarification et de restauration mise en place par Maurice Kamto a pris la parole dans l’émission “Entretien avec“ sur la Stv.
Pierre Emmanuel Binyam est notamment revenue sur la démission de Maurice Kamto de son parti pour s’engager au Manidem et être investi comme candidat à la présidentielle de 2026. Une candidature qui a été malheureusement rejetée.
« La démission du président Maurice Kamto du parti n’était pas une démission dans le sens de tourner le dos au parti. Nous l’avons envoyé accomplir une mission. Maintenant, après ce qui s’est passé, il est revenu. Nous avons demandé qu’il revienne finir son mandat », a indiqué Pierre Emmanuel Binyam.
Ce membre du Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun (Mrc) assure que l’élimination de Maurice Kamto a été une réelle épreuve pour les membres du parti.
« Le rejet de la candidature de Maurice Kamto nous a profondément marqués. Nous avons été profondément marqués par l’élimination de notre candidat à cette élection, d’autant plus que tous les sondages le donnaient largement vainqueur de ce scrutin, tant au niveau national qu’international », a ajouté Pierre Emmanuel Binyam.

Le Ministre des Travaux Publics, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, a reçu en audience le 25 juin 2026 une délégation de huit dignitaires traditionnels du département de la Momo, conduite par le Président de l’Union des Fons de Meta, S.M. Pr Fombo.
Venus porter la voix des populations des arrondissements de Mbengwi, Njikwa, Batibo et Widikum, les chefs traditionnels ont salué les avancées dans le domaine des infrastructures routières, malgré le contexte sécuritaire auquel fait face la région du Nord-Ouest.
Au cours des échanges, ils ont relevé les effets positifs de l’amélioration de la circulation sur les activités économiques, la mobilité des populations et le retour progressif des investisseurs ainsi que des membres de la diaspora dans leurs localités d’origine.
Tout en exprimant leur satisfaction, les dignitaires traditionnels ont plaidé pour la poursuite des efforts de désenclavement à travers l’aménagement d’environ 55 kilomètres de routes supplémentaires destinées à relier plusieurs bassins de production à fort potentiel économique. Ils ont également insisté sur l’importance de l’axe Bamenda–Mbengwi–Acha, stratégique pour l’accès aux services sociaux de base, le tourisme et les échanges commerciaux.
Le Ministre des Travaux Publics a renouvelé l’engagement du gouvernement à poursuivre ses efforts pour améliorer la mobilité sur l’ensemble du territoire.
