Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to snatch a late point in a 3-3 draw against Manchester City. The visitors initially took the lead six minutes into the game, with Son Heung-min finishing off a counter-attack. However, the Spurs captain quickly turned scorer turned into conceding an own goal just three minutes later, levelling the scores.

City then seized the lead for the first time with Phil Foden’s clinical finish after the half-hour mark, capitalising on a fluid team move. Doku and Alvarez added to the excitement by striking the woodwork, adding to the drama. Giovani Lo Celso brought Spurs back into contention with a delightful curled shot that eluded Ederson. Nevertheless, City reclaimed the lead as Jack Grealish tapped them in front. Spurs had the last say in the 90th minute when Dejan Kulusevski looped in a headed equalizer.

Tempers flared in the late stages, especially when City felt aggrieved after Grealish was denied a potential winning goal. In the end, neither team could find the decisive winner.

The draw marks the first time since Pep Guardiola’s inaugural season in charge that they have drawn three consecutive English Premier League games, leaving them in the third position in the table. Their next challenge awaits as they travel to face Aston Villa on Wednesday.

For Tottenham, the result brings an end to a run of three successive defeats in the Premier League, securing their first point since a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in October 2023. Impressively, Spurs have lost just one of their last five league encounters against reigning champions, highlighting their ability to compete at the top level. Despite the positive outcome, they maintain their fifth position in the league standings.
